Bra Recyclers Support South African Breast Cancer Support Group

Awareness badge copy(June 24, 2012) The Bra Recyclers are sending prosthesis and post-mastectomy bras to Reach for Recovery South Africa, a nonprofit, volunteer driven breast cancer support group. The shipment will be the first international delivery of post-mastectomy and prosthesis for The Bra Recyclers, and marks an important contribution towards helping women in need feel empowered and inspired through the simple gift of a bra.

Homeless Women Vets Get Support!

Woman Vet copyPhoenix, AZ (September 19, 2012) – On the heels of Patriot Day, The Bra Recyclers are partnering with the Veterans Democratic Club of Sacramento for Sacramento Stand Down, an event aimed at helping homeless veterans. The Veterans Democratic Club of Sacramento takes part in a number of political efforts to support Veterans Affairs from untraditional angles. Through this partnership, the Veterans Democratic Club of Sacramento will be providing homeless female veterans with much needed bras that have been recycled through The Bra Recyclers nationwide bra recycling effort.

Are Breast Better Without Bras??

Happy faceSo what are your thoughts? A French study says that women are better off without a bra. I can tell you that for me, I don't plan on getting rid of my bra anytime soon.

Our fat little kitty, Shadow, loves my teenage daughter's bras - she has a number of bras that stand up by themselves. Her bras (and everything else) are strewn all over her bedroom floor. Several times when I've peeked in her room, Shadow's been on the floor resting with a bra cup on his head.
